The clothes that the character is wearing represent the fact that he is well educated and probably wealthy also backed up by the surroundings. However the fact his jacket is un-done shows he is not extremely serious.

The body language of the man in the image shows he has power and is well respected by others, i can tell this by him being stood with his hands in his pockets with his shoulders held back. Also with his stance being to the side suggests that he is very confident and doesn't feel he has to pay full attention to everyone else, but that he is more important.

The high key lighting in the image comes from the sunlight behind the man, which is directed straight at him from the background of the picture; this makes him centre of attention and draws the audience towards him. The light reflecting from the sun on the water at the front of the image creates low key lighting that shines up towards him emphasising his importance in the picture.
The character of Charles Xavier is shown in the image at the centre, this shows that he is the focus point. The producer of the image may have used this character as he is the lead in the film or maybe it is because the msn in shot is the very well-known actor James McAvoy which would promotes the film even more.
